NARS offers training to potential railroad industry employees in six craft job areas:
These six courses make up our FastTrack Program. People who successfully finish a FastTrack program receive a certificate of completion, college credits and become highly qualified, technically trained candidates for possible railroad jobs.
The courses typically consist of classroom and laboratory training over a four, six or eight week period at our facility on the campus of Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS, a suburb of Kansas City.
Our philosophy is practice and performance. We are dedicated to reality-based, feedback-oriented training programs that let you master safe and correct work methods. With your skills honed, you will have the ability and confidence needed to work safely and successfully in the railroad industry.
Tuition and expenses are reasonably priced. Some railroads may underwrite a portion of FastTrack training costs for future employees.
Alternative educational undergraduate loans and Veterans/GI Benefits may be applicable. .
